Picture Books +3 - I senza Parole
This collection is made of picture books without text, where a story is told through the illustrations only. The drawings represent situations familiar to children and are organised in logical sequences. They suggest a story, but leave enough room to the children’s own imagination to fill the narrative gaps between the images. A new type of books, innovative and unique, promote cognitive development in children aged 2 to 6 years. Ideally suited for storytelling through pictures, they foster an early development of the reading skills. Children flick through the pages, point at the drawings, recognise the situations, identify the logical connections of the story and tell it aloud… each child his or her own way. Parents can help them to tell the story, answer their questions, excite their imagination. “I senza parole” is part of the Italian national project for promoting reading among young children (0-6 year olds)
